Looking ahead, we are exploring new opportunities in the food carry and wrap segment and making steady progress with Project Jagriti, our ambitious initiative designed to drive sustainable growth. Early groundwork, including market preparation and customer conversations, is already in motion to ensure the success of the upcoming PM4 project.
As part of our long-term strategy, Project Jagriti focuses on upgrades that will ensure we remain at the forefront of sustainable and regenerative packaging. Key initiatives include:
- Upgrading our Effluent Treatment Plant to improve water reuse and reduce freshwater usage while adopting the latest IFAS system for greater energy efficiency.
- Expanding our Pulp Mill capacity, with modern processes and installations to meet growing demand for both bleached and unbleached pulp.
- Upgrading Paper Machine 3, designed to replace plastic grocery bags with high-strength paper grades, reducing plastic reliance and improving environmental efficiency.
- Focusing on Paper Machine 4, which aims to produce sustainable, high-quality food packaging paper, and flexible paper directly responding to the growing need for eco-friendly alternatives.
- Upgrading our Recovery Island for more efficient steam production and improved waste recycling, contributing to reduced emissions and a more sustainable process.
- Building Power Plant 3, which will provide consistent, sustainable power and steam using pith-based fuel and modern environmental controls.
