What if you could save a life — just by knowing what to do in the first few minutes of an emergency?
A special session on Basic Life Support (BLS) was organised which was led by Dr. Abhishek Kumar Singh (MBBS-MD) from Jhunjhunwala Hospital and brought together team members from various sanghs who were eager to learn.
The session was all about preparing ourselves for unexpected situations — like if someone faints, stops breathing, or has a sudden heart problem. Dr. Singh explained how BLS is the immediate help we can give to someone before medical professionals arrive. He talked about:
- Checking for response and breathing
- Performing CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
- Helping someone who’s choking
- Using a defibrillator if available
The doctor shared real-life tips in a simple, easy-to-understand way — no medical background needed! It wasn’t just a lecture — it was a wake-up call: emergencies don’t come with warnings, but being prepared can make all the difference.
