Pakka Celebrated Semana Santa in Guatemala from 13th to 20th April, our Guatemala team embraced the beauty and spirit of Semana Santa — a week of deep tradition, vibrant artistry, and community reflection. Easter Sunday was celebrated on 21st April with warmth and togetherness.
During Holy Week, cities like Antigua turn into living art galleries. Locals lovingly craft alfombras — colorful carpets made of sawdust, flowers, fruits, and pine needles — only for them to be walked over during grand processions. A stunning symbol of devotion and impermanence.
Dressed in purple and black robes, community members carry ornate religious floats on their shoulders through the streets — blending faith, art, and culture into a moving experience.
For our Americas’ team, it’s a sacred time of connection and celebration with family. And for all of us at Pakka, it’s a beautiful reminder of the diverse traditions that unite us.
Wishing our Guatemala team a meaningful Semana Santa.
